Possible Causes
Weak or failing vent fan motor, Blocked vent outlet, Faulty fan speed sensor, Control board not reading fan feedback correctly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker before servicing the door components.
- 1. Check vent outlet: Inspect the vent outlet on the door for obstructions such as labels, tape, or mineral buildup. Clean thoroughly.
- 2. Listen for fan operation: During the drying phase, place your ear near the vent. If you do not hear the fan or feel airflow, the fan may be failing.
- 3. Inspect fan assembly: Remove the inner door panel to access the vent fan. Check for debris in the fan blades and ensure they spin freely by hand.
- 4. Replace vent fan: If the fan is noisy, seized, or tests open electrically, replace the Frigidaire vent fan assembly.
If the UF code persists with a new fan, the control board may not be reading the fan feedback correctly and should be evaluated by a technician.
