Safety first: Before opening any panels, ensure the breaker is off when working on electrical connections.

• Check power source: Verify the kitchen circuit breaker is not tripped. Reset if necessary. Confirm the outlet has power by testing with another appliance.
• Inspect power cord: Access the junction box or cord connection at the base of the dishwasher. Ensure wire nuts or terminal screws are tight and there is no burning or melting.
• Door switch: If the unit has power but no response, the door switch may be open. Test continuity of the door switch when the door is closed; replace the door lock assembly if faulty.
• Control board: If power is present at the board but there are no lights or response, the main control board's power supply may have failed and require replacement.
