Access side panels: Remove the side panels of the dishwasher to view the door springs and tension cables.
Replace springs/cables: If a spring or cable is broken or stretched, replace both sides as a set to maintain balanced tension.
Adjust tension: Some models allow adjusting the spring anchor position to match the door weight. Adjust so the door stays open at mid-position without slamming or rising.

Do not operate the dishwasher with a faulty door counterbalance system, as it can cause injury or further damage.
