• Inspect sump: Remove filters and look into the sump for glass, bones, or other debris. Carefully remove any foreign objects with pliers.
• Test run: Run a short cycle with the dishwasher empty and listen. If grinding persists, the circulation pump bearings may be worn.
• Replace pump if needed: Access the circulation pump from underneath. If the noise clearly comes from the pump and the impeller is worn or wobbly, replace the pump assembly.
