Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Faulty touch control panel, Moisture ingress into control panel, Defective main control board communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the control panel.
- Power reset: Turn off the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power to see if the error clears. This can reset minor communication glitches.
- Access UI board: Remove the inner door panel to expose the user interface (UI) board and ribbon cable. Inspect for moisture, corrosion, or loose connectors.
- Reseat connectors: Carefully disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the UI and main control board. Ensure it is fully seated and not damaged.
- Check for moisture: If condensation or water is present inside the door, dry thoroughly and inspect the door gasket and vent for leaks that may allow steam into the control area.
- Replace faulty UI: If certain buttons do not respond or the display is blank while power is present, replace the control panel / UI assembly.
If E11 persists with a known-good UI and cabling, the main control board may require replacement.
