Possible Causes
Water leak into base tray from hose or seal, Stuck anti-flood float switch, Cracked sump or tub, Loose pump or heater connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water supply immediately to prevent further leakage.
- Pull out dishwasher: Carefully slide the unit out of the cabinet. Place towels around the base.
- Tilt to drain base: Gently tilt the dishwasher backward about 30–45 degrees to allow any water in the base tray to drain out. If water flows out and E15 clears, a leak is confirmed.
- Inspect base tray and float: Remove the bottom cover and check the float switch mechanism. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck in the up position. Dry the area completely.
- Find leak source: Run a short cycle while observing the underside. Look for drips from the inlet hose, drain hose, circulation pump seal, sump gasket, or tub seams. Tighten clamps or replace leaking components.
Do not ignore E15; unresolved leaks can cause floor damage and electrical hazards.
