Possible Causes

Seized circulation pump, Foreign object in pump, Faulty motor capacitor (if fitted), Control board motor driver fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the unit to cool.

  • Listen for motor: Start a cycle and listen after fill. A loud hum without water movement suggests a jammed motor.
  • Check for obstructions: Remove filters and inspect the sump for objects that may block the impeller. Remove any debris carefully.
  • Access pump and capacitor: From the underside, locate the circulation pump and any external start capacitor. Check the capacitor for bulging or leakage and replace if defective.
  • Test motor: Rotate the pump impeller by hand; if stiff or seized, replace the circulation pump assembly.

If E20 persists with a free-spinning pump and good capacitor, the control board may be at fault.
