Possible Causes
Failed drying fan motor, Blocked vent duct, Faulty vent flap actuator, Defective fan triac on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power. Do not operate the dishwasher if you smell burning or suspect overheating.
- Check vent outlet: Open the door and locate the vent area (usually on the top or side of the inner door). Ensure it is not blocked by dishes or debris.
- Access drying fan: Remove the outer door panel to access the drying fan assembly and vent duct. Inspect for lint, grease, or melted plastic obstructing airflow.
- Test fan motor: Disconnect the fan connector and measure resistance. If open or very high, replace the fan motor assembly. Spin the fan blades by hand; they should rotate freely without scraping.
- Inspect vent flap: Some Fulgor Milano models use a motorized vent flap. Check that the flap moves freely and is not jammed. Replace the actuator if it does not respond during the drying phase.
- Control board: If the fan tests good but never receives voltage during drying, the control board's fan driver circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
After repair, run a hot cycle and verify that warm, moist air exits the vent during drying.
