Detergent tablet or powder remains in the dispenser at the end of the cycle.

Steps:

• Check loading: Ensure no large plates or pans block the dispenser door from opening.
• Test dispenser door: With the door open, manually open and close the dispenser to ensure it moves freely.
• Clean dispenser: Remove any caked detergent and dry the compartment.
• Check spray arm alignment: Make sure the upper spray arm is not loose and can spray water toward the dispenser area.
• Electrical test: If the door never opens, test the dispenser solenoid or wax motor and replace the dispenser assembly if defective.
