Listen for fan operation: During the drying phase, a small fan should run (on models with active drying). If silent and E07 appears, suspect the fan circuit.
Access fan assembly: The drying fan is typically located in the door or at the top/side of the tub. Remove the inner door panel or top panel as required.
Check for obstructions: Inspect the vent duct and fan blades for lint, labels, or plastic that may block rotation.
Test fan motor: Disconnect the fan connector and measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. You can also apply appropriate test voltage briefly (if qualified) to confirm operation.
Inspect wiring: Ensure the harness from the control to the fan is intact and firmly connected.
Replace fan assembly: If the fan is defective, replace the complete drying fan/vent assembly with the correct Gaggenau part. Ensure seals are properly seated to prevent steam leaks into the door electronics.

Warning: Steam leaks can damage the control board; verify all gaskets are in place after repair.
