Possible Causes
Restricted water inlet, partially blocked heat exchanger or side water matrix, faulty circulation pump, incorrect water level sensing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and water supply before servicing.
Steps:
- Check water pressure: Ensure the household water pressure meets Gaggenau specifications. Fully open the supply tap.
- Clean inlet filter: Remove and clean the mesh filter in the inlet hose as described for other fill errors.
- Inspect side water matrix / heat exchanger: Remove the left side panel (on many models) to access the translucent water matrix. Look for heavy scale or debris restricting flow. Rinse with hot water and descaler if removable.
- Check spray arms: Remove upper and lower spray arms and clean all jets. Blocked jets can mimic low water level by reducing spray pressure.
- Test circulation pump: Listen during wash: a loud humming with little water movement suggests a failing pump. Access the base, inspect for obstructions in the impeller, and test the motor windings with a multimeter.
- Replace faulty components: If the circulation pump is weak or the water matrix is heavily clogged and cannot be cleaned, replace the affected part with the correct Gaggenau assembly.
