Safety: Disconnect power and water. Heat pump assemblies combine water and high-voltage components.

Steps:

Check for leaks: Inspect the base for water around the heat pump. Leaks can damage electrical parts.
Access heat pump: Remove the base cover to access the integrated circulation pump/heat pump unit.
Test sensors: Measure resistance of the NTC temperature sensor(s) on the heat pump and compare to service specs.
Inspect wiring: Check all connectors to the heat pump for corrosion or burning.
Replace heat pump assembly: If the pump or heater section is faulty, replace the complete heat pump assembly with the correct Gaggenau part. Ensure all hoses and clamps are secure.

Note: This repair is complex and usually best handled by an authorized technician.

Dishwasher shows E10 and may not heat correctly; sometimes associated with heat pump models.
