Possible Causes
Blocked drain pump, foreign object in impeller, failed drain pump motor, kinked or blocked drain hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before working near water.
Steps:
- Check filters and sump: Remove and clean all filters. Inspect the sump for debris that could block the drain inlet.
- Access drain pump: From the base, locate the drain pump attached to the sump. Remove the pump cover and check for obstructions in the impeller.
- Test pump: Spin the impeller by hand; it should move freely. Measure motor resistance; an open circuit indicates failure.
- Inspect drain hose: Ensure the drain hose is not kinked and is free of blockages at the sink connection or air gap.
- Replace drain pump: If the pump motor is defective or impeller damaged, replace the drain pump with the correct Gaggenau part.
