Possible Causes
Clogged spray arms, Dirty filters, Low water temperature, Weak circulation pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before removing spray arms if you will be working near sharp edges.
- Clean filters: Remove and rinse the fine and coarse filters under hot water to remove grease and food particles.
- Clean spray arms: Remove upper and lower spray arms. Clear each jet hole with a toothpick and rinse thoroughly. Reinstall securely.
- Use hot water: Run hot water at the sink before starting the dishwasher to ensure incoming water is at least 120°F (49°C).
- Check detergent and loading: Use a high-quality dishwasher detergent and avoid overloading racks. Ensure water can reach all surfaces.
- Assess circulation pump: If cleaning does not help and spray action seems weak, the wash motor may be failing and should be tested and replaced if necessary.
