Possible Causes
Water supply valve closed, Kinked fill hose, Clogged inlet screen, Failed water inlet valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before working under the dishwasher. Water may leak when hoses are disconnected.
- Check water shutoff valve: Under the sink, ensure the dishwasher supply valve is fully open.
- Inspect fill hose: Look for kinks or crushing where the hose passes through the cabinet or behind the dishwasher. Straighten or reroute as needed.
- Clean inlet screen: Turn off water, disconnect the fill hose at the dishwasher inlet valve, and clean the small screen inside the valve with a brush.
- Test water inlet valve: If water supply and hose are good but H2O persists, the valve may not be opening. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.
- Run a test fill: Restore water and power, start a cycle, and listen for water entering the tub within the first minute.
