Dishwasher fills with water but does not wash; you hear no spray action and dishes remain dirty.

Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water before pulling the dishwasher out.

• Listen for pump: After filling, the unit should begin spraying. A humming noise with no spray indicates a stuck pump; silence may indicate no power to the pump.
• Clean filters and sump: Remove and clean filters; check sump for debris that could jam the pump.
• Access circulation pump: Pull the dishwasher out and locate the GE Café circulation pump. Remove it and inspect the impeller for damage or obstructions.
• Test pump motor: Use a multimeter to check for continuity. Replace the pump if open or seized.
• Check control output: If the pump is good but never receives power, the main control board may need replacement.
