Possible Causes
Worn or damaged door gasket, Clogged or misaligned lower spray arm causing water to hit door, Overfilling due to inlet valve or float issue, Dishwasher not level and leaning forward
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water if the leak is significant.
- Inspect door gasket: Open the door and examine the gasket for tears, gaps, or flattening, especially at the bottom corners. Replace the GE Café door gasket if damaged.
- Check spray arm: Remove the lower spray arm and inspect for cracks or warping. Ensure it spins freely and is not hitting the door. Replace if deformed.
- Level the dishwasher: Use a level on the top of the tub. Adjust front leveling legs so the unit is slightly tilted back, not forward.
- Check fill level: During fill, open the door and confirm water is not above the bottom of the door opening. If too high, inspect the float and inlet valve for faults.
