Dishwasher makes loud grinding or rattling noises during wash or drain.

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing pumps or removing parts.

• Check spray arms: Ensure spray arms spin freely and are not contacting tall items. Reposition dishes as needed.
• Inspect filters and sump: Remove filters and look for glass, bones, or other debris. Remove carefully.
• Access pumps: If noise persists, access the GE Café circulation and drain pumps from underneath. Remove and inspect for foreign objects in the impellers.
• Replace noisy pump: If the pump bearings are worn and noise continues after cleaning, replace the affected pump.
