Possible Causes
Failed heater element, Faulty turbidity/temperature sensor, Blocked vent or vent fan failure, Main control board not activating dry cycle
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing internal components or the door panel.
- Confirm cycle settings: Ensure Heated Dry or Dry Boost options are selected. Some eco modes reduce or disable drying.
- Check rinse aid level: Verify the rinse aid dispenser is filled; low rinse aid can cause poor drying and may contribute to error detection.
- Inspect heater element: As with C6/C7, visually inspect and test the heater element for continuity. Replace if open or damaged.
- Check vent and fan: Remove the inner door panel to access the vent assembly. Inspect for obstructions or melted plastic. If equipped with a vent fan, test for operation during dry. Replace the vent/fan assembly if inoperative.
- Sensor and control: Test the temperature/turbidity sensor in the sump. If sensor and heater are good, suspect the main control board and replace if necessary.
