Possible Causes
Closed or partially closed water supply valve, Clogged inlet valve screen, Failed water inlet valve coil, Faulty main control not energizing valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water supply before disconnecting hoses or wires.
- Verify water supply: Confirm the under-sink shutoff valve is fully open and that other fixtures have normal water pressure.
- Inspect inlet valve screen: Remove the toe-kick, disconnect the supply line, and clean the inlet screen on the GE Café water valve.
- Test valve coil: With power off, disconnect the valve wires and measure coil resistance. An open reading indicates a failed valve that must be replaced.
- Check harness and control: Ensure the harness to the valve is intact and firmly connected. If valve and wiring are good, the main control board may not be sending power and may need replacement.
