Possible Causes
Water in base pan triggering float switch, Faulty leak sensor, Residual moisture from previous overflow, Wiring issue to leak sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water before accessing the base pan.
- Dry base pan: Remove the toe-kick and inspect the base pan. If water is present, sponge it out completely and allow the area to dry.
- Identify and fix leak: Run a short cycle while observing underneath to find the leak source (door, sump, hoses, pump). Repair or replace the leaking component.
- Check leak sensor: Inspect the leak sensor or float switch for proper mounting and operation. Replace if stuck or corroded.
- Reset: After drying and repairs, restore power and test. If LC persists with a dry base, replace the leak sensor or main control board.
