How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before removing filters or reaching into the sump. Use gloves when cleaning.
Steps:
- 1. Clean filters thoroughly: Remove and scrub with hot soapy water.
- 2. Clean sump and door seals: Wipe around the sump, door gasket, and corners with a mild cleaner.
- 3. Run cleaning cycle: Run an empty hot cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar on the top rack.
- 4. Improve drainage: Ensure the drain hose has a proper high loop to prevent sink water from backflowing.
- 5. Leave door ajar: After cycles, leave the door slightly open to allow drying and reduce odor.
