Possible Causes
Seized circulation pump, Open motor winding, Loose motor wiring, Control board motor driver failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and water before accessing the bottom of the dishwasher.
Steps:
- 1. Listen for motor operation: Start a cycle and listen. If you hear only humming or nothing at all during wash, the circulation motor may be seized or not powered.
- 2. Inspect wiring: With power OFF, access the circulation pump and check the harness connector for secure fit and no corrosion.
- 3. Check for obstructions: Ensure nothing is jammed in the pump impeller by removing the sump cover and inspecting the inlet.
- 4. Replace motor: If the motor windings test open or the motor is locked, replace the circulation pump motor assembly.
If a new motor does not clear E7, the main control board is likely defective and should be replaced by a technician.
