Possible Causes
Water in base pan, Faulty leak sensor, Loose hose or clamp, Cracked sump or tub
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Immediately turn off power and water supply.
Steps:
- 1. Pull unit out and inspect base: Remove toe-kick, slide dishwasher out, and check for water in the base pan. Dry completely.
- 2. Inspect leak sensor: Many GE Profile models use a float or electronic sensor in the base. Ensure it is clean, dry, and properly mounted.
- 3. Find the leak source: Check inlet valve, circulation pump, drain pump, and hoses for drips. Run a short cycle while observing (with panels off) to locate active leaks.
- 4. Repair leaks: Tighten clamps, replace cracked hoses, or replace a leaking sump or pump seal as needed.
After repairs, clear any standing water and reset power. If F2 returns with a dry base, the leak sensor itself may be faulty and should be replaced.
