Possible Causes
Stuck diverter valve, Failed diverter motor, Obstructed spray system, Control board diverter driver fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the sump and diverter assembly.
Steps:
- 1. Check spray arms for free rotation and clogs.
- 2. Listen for diverter operation: Some models change spray zones; listen for clicking or movement. Lack of sound may indicate a stuck diverter.
- 3. Access diverter valve: From the bottom, locate the diverter motor on the sump. Inspect for damage and secure wiring.
- 4. Replace diverter assembly: If the motor does not move or the valve is jammed, replace the diverter assembly.
If F9 remains, the control board may not be driving the diverter correctly.
