Possible Causes
Inlet water tap closed or low pressure, Inlet water hose kinked or blocked, Inlet valve filter clogged, Defective water inlet valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the dishwasher with the power button and unplug it or switch off the circuit breaker. Close the water tap before disconnecting any hoses.
- Check water supply: Ensure the kitchen water tap feeding the dishwasher is fully open. Confirm there is normal water pressure at the tap by running a nearby sink faucet.
- Inspect inlet hose: Pull the dishwasher out slightly and check that the Grundig inlet hose is not kinked, crushed, or sharply bent. Straighten it and ensure it has a smooth curve.
- Clean inlet hose filter: Close the water tap. Unscrew the hose from the tap and from the dishwasher inlet valve. At both ends, remove the small mesh filters with needle‑nose pliers, rinse under running water, and reinstall.
- Check for leaks or damage: Inspect the hose for bulges, cracks, or corrosion at the fittings. Replace the hose if damaged.
- Test the inlet valve: With power still disconnected, remove the lower front kick panel, locate the water inlet valve assembly, and check the electrical connector is firmly seated. If you have a multimeter, measure coil resistance (typically 2–4 kΩ). An open circuit or burnt smell indicates a faulty valve that should be replaced.
- Reassemble and test: Reconnect the hose, open the tap, restore power, and run a short program to see if E01 clears.
