Possible Causes
Defective flow meter in side water matrix, Blocked water softener / side tank channels, Wiring issue between flow meter and main control board, Faulty main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap before working on the appliance.
- Reset the appliance: Turn the dishwasher off, wait 2–3 minutes, then turn it back on and try a different program to rule out a temporary glitch.
- Check water pressure and inlet: Ensure adequate water pressure and that the inlet hose and filters are clean as described for E01.
- Inspect side water matrix (water distribution tank): Remove the left side panel of the Grundig dishwasher. Look at the transparent water matrix/softener assembly for heavy limescale, sludge, or air locks. If channels are blocked, remove the assembly if accessible and flush with hot water and descaler.
- Check flow meter connection: Locate the small flow sensor (usually clipped into the side matrix with two wires). Ensure the connector is tight and wires are not damaged or corroded.
- Advanced check: If you have a multimeter and service data, verify the flow meter pulses at the control board connector while water flows. No pulses indicate a bad flow meter that must be replaced.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the side panel, restore water and power, and run a test cycle.
