Dishwasher displays E07 and may stop with water remaining in the tub; sometimes accompanied by unusual noises from the base.

Safety first: Disconnect power. Water may spill when hoses are removed; keep towels and a shallow tray ready.

• Clean filters: Remove the lower basket and take out all filters. Rinse them thoroughly under running water and remove any food debris.
• Inspect sump and non-return valve: Remove the sump cover and check the drain outlet. Many Grundig models have a small flap (non-return valve) that can jam. Clean around it and ensure it moves freely.
• Check drain hose: Follow the drain hose from the dishwasher to the sink trap or waste connection. Ensure it is not kinked or crushed. Disconnect it at the sink end and flush with hot water to clear blockages.
• Access drain pump: Lay the dishwasher on its back and remove the bottom cover. Locate the drain pump (small pump attached to the sump with a single outlet hose). Check for loose or damaged wiring.
• Check for obstructions: Remove the pump (usually by twisting and pulling) and inspect the impeller area for glass, seeds, or other debris. Clean thoroughly.
• Test pump electrically: Measure the pump winding resistance with a multimeter. An open circuit or very low resistance indicates a failed pump that must be replaced.
• Reassemble and test: Refit the pump and base, reconnect hoses, restore power, and run a drain or quick program to confirm that water is pumped out and E07 is cleared.
