Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between control board and display, Moisture ingress into control panel, Faulty user interface PCB, Defective main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the door panel or handling electronic boards.
- Power reset: Turn off the dishwasher at the mains for 5–10 minutes, then restore power to see if the error clears.
- Inspect control panel: Remove the inner door panel to access the user interface PCB and display. Check for signs of moisture, corrosion, or detergent residue. Dry gently with a soft cloth if damp.
- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat ribbon cable between the user interface and main control board is fully inserted and not damaged. Reseat both ends.
- Look for physical damage: Inspect both PCBs for burnt components or cracked solder joints, especially around connectors.
- Replace faulty board: If the display remains unresponsive or E13 persists, replace the user interface PCB first. If the issue continues, the main control board may also need replacement.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the door panel, restore power, and test all buttons and programs.
