Possible Causes
Household water pressure too high, Inlet valve not regulating correctly, Flow meter misreading due to turbulence, Incorrect installation of inlet hose or pressure reducer
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap before adjusting plumbing.
- Check water pressure: If possible, measure the water pressure at the dishwasher tap. Grundig dishwashers typically require moderate pressure; very high pressure can cause E17.
- Install pressure reducer: If your supply pressure is high, install a pressure reducing valve on the dishwasher feed line according to local plumbing codes.
- Inspect inlet hose: Ensure the hose is correctly installed without sharp bends that could cause turbulence.
- Check inlet valve and flow meter: Remove the side panel and inspect the inlet valve and flow meter for correct installation and secure wiring.
- Test operation: After adjustments, restore power and water and run a short program to see if E17 reappears.
