Possible Causes
Kinked or crushed drain hose, Blocked sink trap spigot, Incorrect drain hose installation height, Air lock in drain hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power. Water may spill when disconnecting the drain hose.
- Check hose routing: Inspect the drain hose behind the dishwasher and under the sink. Straighten any kinks and ensure it is not pinched by cabinetry.
- Clean sink connection: Disconnect the hose from the sink trap or garbage disposer. Clean the spigot thoroughly; drill out any plastic knockout that may not have been removed during installation.
- Verify installation height: Ensure the highest point of the drain hose loop is at the correct height as specified in the Grundig installation manual to prevent siphoning or backflow.
- Flush hose: Take the hose to a sink or outside and flush with hot water to remove grease and debris.
- Reinstall and test: Reconnect the hose securely, restore power, and run a drain or quick program to confirm that E24 is cleared.
