Possible Causes

Foreign object (glass, bone, seeds) in drain pump, Jammed pump impeller, Damaged non-return valve, Debris lodged in sump outlet

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power. Expect water in the sump and possibly in the base.

  • Clean filters and sump: Remove all filters and inspect the sump for visible debris. Remove any foreign objects.
  • Access drain pump from inside (if possible): On some Grundig models, you can reach the pump impeller through the sump outlet after removing a cover. Carefully feel for and remove obstructions.
  • Access pump from base: Lay the dishwasher on its back and remove the base cover. Twist and remove the drain pump from the sump.
  • Clear impeller: Inspect the impeller for glass, stones, or other debris. Remove all obstructions and ensure the impeller spins freely.
  • Check non-return valve: Inspect and clean the non-return valve at the sump outlet. Replace if damaged.
  • Reassemble and test: Refit the pump and base, restore power and water, and run a drain program to confirm that E25 is cleared.
