Possible Causes
Clogged Haier drain filter, Blocked drain hose, Obstructed air gap (if fitted), Failed drain pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before reaching into the sump area.
- 1. Clean filters: Remove the lower rack and take out the filters. Rinse thoroughly and remove any trapped food or grease.
- 2. Inspect sump and pump inlet: Look for foreign objects like glass or labels blocking the pump inlet. Remove carefully.
- 3. Check drain hose and air gap: Under the sink, disconnect the drain hose and inspect for clogs. If you have an air gap on the sink, remove the cap and clean out debris.
- 4. Test drain pump: Start a drain or cancel cycle and listen for the pump. A humming noise without water movement suggests a jammed or failed pump. Replace the Haier drain pump if necessary.
- 5. Reassemble and test: Reconnect all hoses securely and run a rinse cycle to confirm proper drainage.
Warning: Standing water may contain sharp objects; wear gloves when cleaning.
