Possible Causes

Low household water pressure, Clogged inlet filter screen at water inlet valve, Defective Haier water inlet valve, Kinked or pinched inlet hose

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher or switch off the circuit breaker and close the water supply valve before working on the appliance.

  • 1. Verify water supply: Ensure the kitchen faucet near the dishwasher has strong flow. If water pressure is very low, the dishwasher may not fill in time.
  • 2. Check the inlet hose: Pull the dishwasher out slightly and inspect the water inlet hose at the rear. Straighten any kinks or sharp bends. Make sure the shutoff valve under the sink is fully open.
  • 3. Clean inlet valve filter: At the connection to the Haier water inlet valve, there is usually a small mesh filter. Turn off water, disconnect the hose, and gently remove and rinse the filter screen to clear debris or scale.
  • 4. Inspect the water inlet valve: If the valve buzzes but little water enters, or no sound is heard at all, the solenoid may be failing. Check for signs of burning or cracking. A multimeter test for coil continuity can confirm failure.
  • 5. Test again: Reconnect the hose, restore power and water, and run a short cycle. If E1 returns despite good pressure and a clean filter, the inlet valve assembly likely needs replacement.

Warning: Do not bypass safety devices or operate the dishwasher with leaks at the inlet connection.
