Dishwasher displays E4 and may stop mid-cycle; sometimes water level appears too high or leaks from the door.

Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off the water supply. If there is active leaking, do not continue running the appliance.

• 1. Remove excess water: Open the door and use a cup or sponge to remove standing water from the tub. Check if the base pan (under the tub) is full of water by removing the toe-kick panel.
• 2. Inspect for leaks: Look for drips from the inlet valve, hoses, or sump seals that may have triggered the overflow float switch.
• 3. Check the pressure switch and hose: Locate the water level pressure switch (usually mounted on the side wall or base). Remove the thin rubber hose and blow gently through it to clear blockages. Ensure the air trap on the tub is not clogged with grease or detergent residue.
• 4. Test inlet valve closure: With power off, inspect the inlet valve for debris preventing closure. If water continues to trickle into the tub when the machine is off, the valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
• 5. Reset and test: Dry the base pan completely, reassemble, restore power and water, and run a short cycle while monitoring the fill level. If E4 recurs without overfilling, the pressure switch or control board may be faulty and require replacement.

Warning: Persistent overfilling can cause flooding and property damage; do not ignore this fault.
