Possible Causes

Leaking sump seal, Cracked circulation pump housing, Loose hose clamp on drain or circulation hose, Damaged door gasket

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water supply immediately if a leak is suspected.

  • 1. Remove toe-kick and inspect base: Take off the lower front panel and look into the base pan. If water is present, the anti-flood float switch has likely been triggered.
  • 2. Dry the base: Carefully sponge out water from the base pan and allow it to dry completely. You may tilt the dishwasher slightly (with caution) to help drain residual water.
  • 3. Identify leak source: Run a short fill cycle while observing the underside with a flashlight. Look for drips from the sump, hoses, pump housings, or door area.
  • 4. Tighten or replace components: Tighten loose hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, and inspect the Haier sump seal and circulation pump housing for cracks. Replace any damaged parts.
  • 5. Door gasket check: Inspect the door gasket for tears or flattening, especially at the bottom corners. Replace if worn.

Warning: Do not bypass the float switch; it protects against flooding and electrical hazards.
