- 2. Inspect sump area: Look into the sump for foreign objects like glass or bones that could block the pump inlet. Remove any debris with gloves.
- 3. Check drain hose routing: Ensure the hose is not kinked behind the dishwasher and that it rises in a high loop under the sink to prevent backflow.
- 4. Test drain pump: Access the pump from the bottom, remove it from the sump, and inspect the impeller. If the impeller is broken or the motor does not run when energized, replace the pump.
- 5. Reassemble and test: Refit all components, restore power, and run a drain cycle to confirm F4 is cleared.
