• 1. Remove obstructions: Check that racks are fully pushed in and no large utensils or pans are preventing the door from closing.
• 2. Inspect gasket: Look for items caught in the door gasket and remove them. Wipe the gasket clean.
• 3. Check latch engagement: Close the door firmly until you hear a positive click. If the door feels loose, inspect the latch and strike for wear.
• 4. Adjust leveling: Ensure the dishwasher is level front-to-back and side-to-side. An unlevel unit can cause poor door alignment.
• 5. Replace latch if needed: If U1 persists and the latch is worn or broken, replace the Haier door lock assembly.
