Machine will not fill; cycle stops shortly after start and E1 is displayed on the Hobart dishwasher control panel.

• Clean inlet screen: Disconnect the water inlet hose at the rear or side of the machine (depending on model). Remove and rinse the small mesh filter screen inside the inlet fitting to clear sediment.
• Inspect inlet solenoid valve: With power off, remove the lower front panel. Locate the water inlet solenoid valve. Check for obvious damage, corrosion, or leaks. If you have a multimeter and are qualified, test the coil for continuity. Replace the valve if open or shorted.
• Check fill level components: Locate the pressure switch or level sensor tubing. Ensure the tubing is not kinked, blocked with debris, or full of water. Clean or replace as needed.
• Test operation: Restore water and power, then run a short cycle. If E1 persists after confirming supply and cleaning the inlet, the inlet valve or level sensor assembly likely needs replacement and professional service is recommended.
