Possible Causes
Rinse line strainer clogged, Rinse solenoid valve partially blocked, Building water pressure too low, Rinse pressure switch or flow sensor fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the rinse water supply before opening any plumbing connections.
- Check building pressure: Confirm that the incoming water pressure meets Hobart specifications. Low building pressure can cause E13.
- Clean strainers: Locate and remove the rinse line strainer or filter. Rinse thoroughly to remove debris and scale.
- Inspect rinse valve: Remove the rinse solenoid valve inlet screen and clean any sediment. If the valve is noisy or fails to open fully, replacement may be required.
- Verify rinse nozzles: Remove and clean final rinse nozzles or jets on the rinse arm. Blocked nozzles reduce flow and pressure.
- Sensor check: If equipped with a rinse pressure switch or flow meter, inspect tubing and wiring. Replace the sensor if it is blocked or electrically faulty.
