Cycle will not start; display shows E1 shortly after pressing START on a Hoonved commercial dishwasher.

Safety first: Disconnect the dishwasher from mains power and close the water supply valve before working on it.

• Check water supply: Ensure the building water supply is open and that the stopcock feeding the Hoonved dishwasher is fully open. Verify that other taps in the area have good pressure.
• Inspect inlet hose and filter: Close the water tap, disconnect the inlet hose from the rear of the dishwasher, and remove the small mesh filter inside the hose or valve connection. Rinse it under running water to remove limescale or debris, then reinstall.
• Check for kinked or crushed hose: Make sure the inlet hose is not bent sharply or pinched behind the machine.
• Test the inlet solenoid valve: With power disconnected, access the base or rear panel to locate the water inlet solenoid valve. Inspect wiring connectors for burning or looseness. If you have a multimeter and are qualified, measure coil resistance; an open circuit coil indicates a failed valve that must be replaced.
• Verify level control: On models with a pressure switch or level probe in the tank, remove any scale or grease buildup. Clean the pressure hose and probe tube so air/water can move freely. A blocked tube can cause the board to think the tank is already full.
• Reset and test: Restore water and power, clear the error according to the user manual (often by switching OFF/ON), and run a fill test.
