Possible Causes
Defective detergent dosing pump, Empty or blocked detergent suction tube, Blocked detergent injection nozzle, Faulty dosing control output from PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before working on the dosing system. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling detergent chemicals.
- Check detergent container: Ensure the external detergent drum is not empty and that the suction tube is fully submerged.
- Inspect suction filter: Many Hoonved dosing systems have a small filter at the end of the suction tube. Remove and clean it to clear crystallized detergent.
- Prime the pump: If the pump has lost prime, manually prime it by loosening the outlet tube slightly and running a test dose (with power on and service mode if available) until detergent flows, then retighten.
- Check injection point: Inspect the detergent injection fitting on the tank or inlet line. Clean any crystallized buildup that could block flow.
- Test pump operation: With power disconnected, check the pump wiring. Then, under controlled conditions, run a test cycle and listen for the pump. If it does not run or only hums, replace the detergent dosing pump.
