Possible Causes
Seized wash pump impeller, Burnt wash pump motor winding, Capacitor failure on single-phase wash pump, Blocked pump inlet due to debris
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dishwasher from mains power. Allow water to cool before working near the pump.
- Check for obstructions: Remove the tank filters and inspect the sump area. Foreign objects like glass, cutlery, or labels can block the wash pump inlet.
- Access wash pump: Remove the lower front or side panel to reach the wash pump assembly. Try rotating the impeller by hand (with power off). It should turn smoothly; if jammed, remove debris or replace the pump.
- Inspect capacitor: On single-phase Hoonved models, a start/run capacitor is mounted near the pump. A bulging or leaking capacitor should be replaced.
- Electrical tests: Use a multimeter to check motor winding resistance. An open or shorted winding indicates a failed pump motor.
- After repair: Reassemble, restore power, clear the E12 error, and run a test cycle to confirm strong spray pressure from the wash arms.
