Possible Causes
Misaligned door latch, Broken door microswitch, Loose wiring to door switch, Damaged door handle or latch mechanism
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the door mechanism.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and is not obstructed by baskets or tall items. On hood-type Hoonved machines, verify the hood comes fully down and engages the safety mechanism.
- Inspect latch and striker: Examine the metal or plastic striker on the cabinet and the latch on the door. Adjust or tighten screws if misaligned. Replace broken parts.
- Test microswitch: Access the door switch by removing the inner door panel or front cover. With a multimeter, check continuity while operating the switch manually. Replace if it does not change state reliably.
- Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the door switch to the control board for breaks or loose connectors.
- Reset and test: After repair, restore power, clear the E13 error, and start a cycle to confirm the door is recognized as closed.
