E14 error; machine may stop unexpectedly during operation, sometimes when opening/closing the door.

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the dishwasher before inspecting the safety circuits.

• Inspect door hinges: Excessive play in the hinges can prevent the door from engaging the interlock fully. Tighten hinge screws or replace worn hinges.
• Check interlock switch: Locate the interlock assembly and verify that the actuator fully depresses the switch when the door is closed. Adjust position if necessary.
• Test continuity: With the door closed, measure continuity across the interlock contacts. Intermittent readings indicate a failing switch.
• Control board safety relay: If the switch and wiring are good, the safety relay on the main PCB may be defective. Board replacement is recommended.
