Possible Causes
Tripped manual-reset safety thermostat on tank or boiler, Faulty temperature control causing overheating, Limescale reducing heat transfer, Stuck heating relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the machine to cool completely before resetting any thermostats.
- Locate safety thermostats: On Hoonved dishwashers, manual-reset thermostats are usually mounted on the tank and boiler. Look for small round devices with a red or black reset button.
- Reset thermostat: Press the reset button firmly until a click is felt. If it immediately trips again during operation, do not continue using the machine until the cause is found.
- Check for scale: Heavy limescale on heating elements can cause localized overheating. Inspect and descale the tank and boiler as needed.
- Verify temperature control: Ensure NTC probes are correctly installed and reading accurately. A failed probe can cause uncontrolled heating.
- Control board relay: If heating continues even when the set temperature is reached, the heating relay on the PCB may be stuck closed and must be replaced.
