Possible Causes
Defective conductivity sensor, Scaled or fouled sensor electrodes, Broken wiring to sensor, Faulty sensor input on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and close water supply before working on the hydraulic circuit.
- Locate sensor: On Hoonved models with automatic detergent control, a conductivity or hardness sensor is usually installed in the hydraulic circuit or tank.
- Clean sensor: Remove the sensor and gently clean the electrodes with a soft brush and descaling solution to remove limescale and detergent film. Rinse thoroughly.
- Inspect wiring: Check the cable and connector for damage or corrosion. Repair or replace as needed.
- Test sensor: If possible, measure sensor output according to the service manual. Replace the sensor if readings are out of range.
- Recalibrate: After replacement, follow Hoonved procedures to recalibrate detergent dosing based on water hardness.
