Possible Causes
Open or shorted boiler NTC probe, Loose or corroded probe connector, Damaged wiring harness to boiler, Faulty control board boiler sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the boiler to cool before touching any boiler components.
- Locate boiler NTC: On Hoonved dishwashers, the boiler NTC is usually mounted on the boiler shell or inserted into a thermowell. Remove the cover to access it.
- Inspect connector: Disconnect and reconnect the probe plug several times to clean light oxidation. Ensure the connector is tight.
- Measure resistance: With the probe disconnected, measure resistance at ambient temperature and compare with specification. Replace the probe if readings are out of range or unstable when gently moved.
- Check cable routing: Ensure the cable is not routed near high-voltage lines or hot surfaces that could damage insulation.
- Control board diagnosis: If a known-good probe still triggers E7, the main PCB may be faulty. Replacement is recommended via an authorized Hoonved service center.
