Possible Causes
Blocked pressure switch hose, Defective pressure switch, Faulty electronic level sensor or probe, Wiring fault between level device and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water supply before opening panels.
- Locate level device: Depending on the Hoonved model, water level is controlled by a mechanical pressure switch, an electronic pressure sensor, or stainless-steel level probes in the tank.
- Clean pressure hose: If a pressure switch is used, remove the small rubber hose from the switch and the tank connection. Blow through it to clear grease or scale. Replace if cracked or soft.
- Check pressure switch operation: Gently blow into the switch port and listen for clicks. Use a multimeter to verify contact change. Replace if it does not switch reliably.
- Clean level probes: For probe systems, remove the probes from the tank and clean them with a non-abrasive pad to remove scale and detergent film. Ensure insulators are intact.
- Inspect wiring: Verify that connectors are tight and wires are not damaged or corroded.
- Test machine: Reassemble, restore power, and run a fill cycle while monitoring water level. If E8 persists, the control board input may be defective.
