How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow water to cool before working inside the tank or on the pump.

Check filters and sump: Remove and clean all tank filters. Inspect the sump for foreign objects blocking the pump intake.
Listen for pump: During a wash phase, listen for the wash pump. A humming sound without water movement suggests a seized pump or failed capacitor.
Access pump: Remove the lower panel to reach the wash pump. Check that the impeller is firmly attached and can rotate by hand.
Test capacitor: Replace the start/run capacitor if it is swollen or tests out of specification.
Replace pump: If the motor windings are open or the pump is seized, replace the complete wash pump assembly with the correct Hoonved part.

Hoonved dishwasher fills with water but does not wash; no spray from wash arms and dishes remain dirty.
